School emphasizes on curriculum for kids, while this Mom emphasizes on Core-Values!

The education system has made us lose sight of what a good education is. We only focus on academics, while we forget about balance issues such as high levels of academic pressure.

Schools have always stressed the importance of education as a mere curriculum. Gone are the days where a parent finds a school which would want to make their kids a topper. A parent now wants a balanced education for their kids. Most importantly, an education system which eases stress. But is this possible through our school these days? That’s what really pondered in Vidya’s mind.

Vidya has completed her engineering and PG in HRM. She has worked in a mechanical industry. She is a mom of two lovely boys. She always loved Carnatic music and Shlokas and started pursuing her career in that.

Her passion for Shlokas is way beyond imagination. We have always learnt values from our grandparents through Shlokas, right? That is what Vidhya is doing for her little students now. Their parents are wonderstruck and filled with gratitude to know that the culture is still alive through a beautiful mompreneur.

Vidya Officially launched her venture Mindful Motherhood on 14th May 2020.

She takes a different twist in teaching these to her students. Her base is Shlokas. Through Shlokas, she imparts excellent values to kids.

Shlokas consist of verses from Hindu texts that always inspire the listener by evoking a sense of calmness while reminding them about divine powers. These chants help mothers bring out the potential for growth in their child because it reminds us how important our actions are on this earth.

Shloka offers an empowering way for kids to focus on themselves instead of being tethered through technology or other external distractions.

Kids have missed schooling culture due to pandemic and there is lot of stress that kids are facing. For this reason, she also teaches meditation, gratitude, etiquette, manners and so on.

We’ve all heard the saying “mind over matter”, and while it may not be accurate in every sense, there is a lot of truth to this. Meditation has been proven scientifically time and again as one-way for people to reduce stress levels – which can only improve our mental health tremendously! All that you do, think and feel can be used as a tool to serve your highest good. For those who are in the know – meditation is not only about clearing one’s mind but also integrating with other people at their level of consciousness; being grateful for all we have rather than focusing on what we don’t has been shown by science to provide us with more energy and even ward off depression from happening again; practicing etiquette such as thanking others or apologizing when necessary shows respect towards family members, friends, etc.; manners like standing up when someone enters the room or giving way so they may pass through first will help create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable.

Every single aspect covered here is very crucial for a child’s development and it is done in a very holistic way.
